About me

I was at hired at Contra Costa County Library on August 5, 2008 as Emerging Technologies Specialist.  Previously, I worked at the Mill Valley Public Library for almost 7 years as Web Librarian. I earned my MLIS at San Jose State University. When I was in library school, I volunteered for 3 years at the El Cerrito library; I facilitated the book discussion group.

I got my 1st library card at the Enoch Pratt Free Library, Edmonson Avenue Branch in Baltimore, MD.  Growing up, I used the Baltimore County Public Library, Cockeysville Branch (in its current location and when it was located on York Rd.) and in my hometown in Maine, the Scarborough Public Library in its former location on Black Point Rd.

I read all the time.  I like historical fiction, literature, audio books, fantasy & sci-fi, graphic novels, nonfiction, poetry, children’s book, and young adult books. I also have a life outside of the library. I hike (and recommed Jane Huber’s website), I like design (here’s my favorite blog), I shoot photos, and dream of being a voice actor.
